A look at how our Portugal team approaches development in the Algarve, from site selection through handover and long-term asset care.
Marisol began the way every Aplis development does: with a question about the community rather than the pro forma. Who lives here, what do they need, and what will this building be worth to them in twenty years?
In the Algarve, that means designing for climate first — shading, cross-ventilation, durable exterior finishes — and for a mixed resident base of full-time locals and seasonal owners who expect the building to be cared for whether they are present or not.
Because our development, construction, and maintenance teams work under one roof, decisions made at design stage are tested against a twenty-year operating cost, not just a construction budget. Specifying a better mechanical system is an easy argument to win when the same organization will be servicing it.
Handover is not the end of the engagement. The management team inherits full as-built documentation, warranty tracking, and a maintenance schedule that begins on day one of occupancy.
